The Interview
Thank you so much for joining us today! Tell us a little bit about yourself. What is your backstory?
Zack Aronson : Growing up, I was surrounded by Real Estate and always knew I saw myself pursuing that for my career. When I was just a Senior in High School, I obtained my NJ Real Estate license and have been a licensed realtor with Keller Williams since 2014. Upon graduating High School, I was selected as 1/100 students to be directly admitted into The University of Wisconsin, Madison’s Business School where I decided to attend because they were and still are ranked as the number 1 undergraduate Real Estate Program in the U.S.. After graduating college, I worked at Newmark for two years, on the highest producing appraisal team in New York City. Today, I work for an asset management platform where I perform surveillance on assets worth over $475MN. In addition, I am the Co-Founder of WAAV RE, a Real Estate Syndication business. My company, WAAV RE, has syndicated nearly 600 multi-family units with a combined purchase price of $100MN.
As we embark on the journey into 2024, what are your hopes and expectations for the year ahead, both personally and professionally?
Zack Aronson : In my personal world, I hope to continue to make time for the people who are most important to me, travel to new places, and invest my time in experiences that will add value to my personal + professional aspirations. Professionally, my goal is to reach $1BN of Assets Under Management and further develop my skills as a capital raiser. In 2024, I’m looking to pursue investment opportunities in up-and-coming markets.
How do you see technological advancements influencing your field or industry in the coming year, and what opportunities or challenges do they present?
Zack Aronson : I see artificial intelligence playing a bigger and bigger role. As companies continue to develop AI software, their ability to digest data in an efficient manner will improve their bottom line. Ultimately, deeper analytics + data will inform real estate professionals to make more informed investments, decisions and better serve their clients.
As a leader or aspiring leader, what role do you believe diversity, equity, and inclusion will play in shaping the future of your industry, and how are you working to promote these values within your sphere of influence?
Zack Aronson : Diversity and equity play a huge role in business. Having different perspectives is key to solving problems and coming up with outside the box solutions. In my business, I try to find properties in diverse communities to foster safe environments for people from all backgrounds to reside.
