In your opinion, what makes your company stand out? Any examples?

Riley Beam : The team that leads the company is where it all begins and ends. When the leadership team is extraordinary, even average resources find a way to achieve more than they otherwise can. With the right people at the helm, every challenge or opportunity is met extraordinarily well.

What are the TOP 5 mistakes people make when starting a new business? Please share advice/examples for all of them.

Riley Beam : Ignoring the paperwork and regulatory requirements

It’s only natural for you to be extremely passionate and excited about your new venture, but don’t let that get in the way of practicality — especially when it comes to legal paperwork. Having a great idea and lining up the resources to see it through is all good, but a business is also a legal entity that needs to follow strict guidelines and regulations. And as a new business owner, it’s your responsibility to ensure that your brand follows every rule in the book. From trademark registration to drawing up agreements with vendors and employees, every step is crucial. Failure to follow due legal process may not only result in heavy fines but may also lead to a business being shut down, making this step as important as any other operation in a new business.
