The Interview
Thank you so much for joining us today! Tell us a little bit about yourself. What is your backstory?
Mike Manders : CEO Mike Manders, was headhunted to work for Lusso.com whilst working in the UAE, heading up a multimillion-pound corporation; Bluewaters, Mike came onboard as a Management Consultant for the UK business, overseeing all aspects of the company’s growth and soon transformed the company’s systems, infrastructure, marketing, warehousing, and staffing. During this period and as a direct result of his work enabling rapid growth, Mike secured Lusso.com being featured in the Sunday Times Profit track 100 best performing companies, sat alongside brands such as Gymshark, Fevertree and Brewdog.
Mike took the business within a 4 year period, from a sole trader type environment with 4 staff, to a multi-award winning business with over 40 staff, and flagship HQ – receiving vast interest and offers from Private Equity and trade buyers. The business was ultimately taken off the market, but Mike’s project had been accomplished delivering what he was set-out to do . Mike knew it was then time to pursue new business opportunities and his own personal goals having had vast years of experience in the luxury product space
Utilising his considerable industry experience and ecommerce expertise, Nôsa’s launch is a natural step for Mike’s entrepreneurial, business, and operational flair.
As we embark on the journey into 2024, what are your hopes and expectations for the year ahead, both personally and professionally?
Mike Manders :
“I am very excited to see the inception and launch of my latest Brand – Nôsa, creating accessible Luxury products for the bathroom & home”. We have seen an amzing response to our new website, offering initially; Luxury Stone baths, Vanity units, showers, taps, mirrors and accessories – a turn-key soloution to all your bathroom needs. We will carve our own niche in this space, offering beautifull products competitivly priced with flawless service to our customers. We will be adding marble collections for the bathroom and home in the comoing months.
Nôsa promises to be a premier destination for bathrooms and homeware, covering exquisite stone baths, luxury vanity units, taps, showers, home accessories and designer fixtures.
Expect the addition of an exclusive Marble launch collection featuring products including baths, basins, accessories, floor, and wall tiles.
How do you see technological advancements influencing your field or industry in the coming year, and what opportunities or challenges do they present?
Mike Manders : Using sustainable materials, and ensuring energy and water efficiency is a design feature of our products are at the forefront of our minds. An example of this where we have incorporated this design ethos is in our super efficient and quiet flushing toilets, using considerably less amount of water than other retailers.
As a leader or aspiring leader, what role do you believe diversity, equity, and inclusion will play in shaping the future of your industry, and how are you working to promote these values within your sphere of influence?
Mike Manders : As a leader, This is very important, such as setting clear expectations, promoting open communication, and actively championing diversity contribute to creating an inclusive climate. Additionally, It is important for me to acknowledge the importance of incorporating diversity considerations in making the workplace environment more diverse
