Martynas Žvirblis of VPS Forex Trader on 2024 Outlook

Interviewee Name: Martynas Žvirblis

Company: VPS Forex Trader

Martynas Žvirblis’s favourite quote: Noted American publisher Malcolm Forbes once said “Diversity is the art of thinking independently together.” And I think it is aptly connected with your story because it emphasizes that to be a successful workplace, you will need more collaboration than homogenization. I believe in this quote so much because I have seen in various companies I have worked with in the past two decades that diverse ways of thinking lead to varied approaches to issues, and this I believe delivers a major impact on the generation of original ideas and inventive solutions.

The Interview

Thank you so much for joining us today! Tell us a little bit about yourself. What is your backstory?

Martynas Žvirblis : I’m Martynas, chief manager at VPS Forex Trader, a Virtual Private Server hosting provider for forex traders with offices in Europe and the US. As a child, I always wanted to own a cafe and restaurant where people would routinely come and go while enjoying their coffee and pastries. I always dreamed of having that kind of business because I was inspired by my uncle. He managed the only bakery and cafe in our small town, a few hours away from Vilnius, Lithuania. The place was always packed with locals who would buy bread or spend a few minutes enjoying their warm cup of coffee.

Fast forward to my early twenties. After finishing a business management course in college, with some of my savings and a little help from my father, I opened and operated a small cafe. As someone who ventured into the food business for the first time, I failed to keep revenues going and closed shop after a couple of years.

There were some initial regrets at first, but later on, I was able to fully understand that it prepared me to become who I am today from the lessons and personal experiences gained from the business venture. But from that experience, I was able to learn so much in a short period of time about how to run a small business and how to work with different kinds of people, from my employees to my regular customers.

Looking back, I am happy I had that early experience in owning a business, as it prepared me to get managerial jobs in various companies. It helped build my career, giving it a solid foundation. Now that I am working as chief manager in a company that provides VPS hosting services and operating data centers for forex traders, I still apply most of the learnings I had from my first business venture, which is how to deal with people and ensure that I listen to and support their needs. At this age, with everything I need to support my family, I find my career fulfilling as I impart my learnings with my colleagues and he teams I mentor within the company.

As we embark on the journey into 2024, what are your hopes and expectations for the year ahead, both personally and professionally?

Martynas Žvirblis : Personally, my goal this year is to live healthy and maintain a stress-free and productive workflow for my team which I have learned to perfect after two decades of working in various capacities here at VPS Forex Trader and in other organizations. Professionally, my goal is to improve my management and leadership skills by joining master classes and improving my mentoring skills with my team.

How do you see technological advancements influencing your field or industry in the coming year, and what opportunities or challenges do they present?

Martynas Žvirblis : As a global leader in providing VPS hosting services to online traders, I foresee several trends that will likely shape forex trading in 2024, with the increased role of VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting becoming particularly important.

With the rise of algorithmic and automated trading, this means milliseconds matter, and a VPS service ensures ultra-low latency and high availability hosting for uninterrupted execution. This will become even more crucial as competition and market volatility increase, and traders seek any edge in speed and consistency in the trading business.

Additionally, with the growth of forex traders worldwide, VPS solutions offer the flexibility to run strategies regardless of location. As the focus on security intensifies, traders will also look for VPS providers with robust safeguards against cyber-attacks and downtime. Moreover, expect more accessible VPS offerings tailored for individual traders, balancing affordability with performance which we offer at PS Forex Trader.

This year, also expect VPS hosting to transition from being a niche advantage to an essential component in a forex trader’s infrastructure in 2024. Those without it may be at a competitive disadvantage in the fast-paced forex landscape.

As a leader or aspiring leader, what role do you believe diversity, equity, and inclusion will play in shaping the future of your industry, and how are you working to promote these values within your sphere of influence?

Martynas Žvirblis : Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) remain critically important in my workplace particularly in the regions where we operate like the EU and the United States. As company leaders, we prioritize DEI experience at VPS Forex Trader and we get to reap its benefits like increased innovation, stronger decision-making, better employee morale, and improved brand reputation. However, in 2024, we can expect to see DEI strategies evolve. There will be a shift towards focusing on measurable, data-driven results and concrete actions rather than just broad initiatives. As a chief manager here, I always make it a point to prioritize building an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued and has opportunities to thrive, regardless of their background or identity. Within my circle and in my sphere of influence, I expect t see more intersectionality within DEI efforts by understanding how factors like race, gender, sexual orientation, and disability interact to create unique experiences for individuals at work.
