The Interview

Thank you so much for joining us today! Tell us a little bit about yourself. What is your backstory?

Greg Gillman : I am Chief Revenue Officer at MuteSix, where I have generated nearly $4B in revenue for D2C clients and played a significant role in the agency’s recent acquisition by Dentsu. I take pride in being problem-solver and have been able to create proven, turnkey solutions that take businesses to the next level, I have worked with and scaled brands like Adidas, Goop, Lunya, Petco, Ring, and Theragun, among many others.

In your opinion, what makes your company stand out? Any examples?

Greg Gillman : We have become the leader in leveraging data-backed, omnichannel media buying and creative strategies, our team of subject-matter experts scale brands to success faster and more efficiently than any agency can.

What are the TOP 5 mistakes people make when starting a new business? Please share advice/examples for all of them.

Greg Gillman : Many businesses have amazing products but owners will often make the mistake of not staying involved in the process with their marketing team and agency to bring awareness. We would all like to think that a great product sells itself, and that once we hand it over to the experts, we can leave it completely up to them and move onto other issues.

So while you may have invested monetary resources into marketing, it is just as critical to remain engaged with your experts to coordinate with them, and provide them a continuous flow of information to boost your efforts. While placing the financial resources into marketing is important, leaving all the decisions to your marketing manager or an outsourced agency will not yield the results you want, and could lead to major missteps and lost opportunities.

Leaders Perception magaizne would like to thank Greg Gillman for the time dedicated to completing this interview and sharing their valuable insights with our readers!
