What are the TOP 5 mistakes people make when starting a new business? Please share advice/examples for all of them.

Daniel Foley : Lack of planning:

It’s amazing how frequently people launch a business without establishing any objectives or a plan for how they intend to succeed. They frequently think that planning takes too much time and discount its value since they think that a small firm won’t require it. Planning can take a while, but companies that have a well-defined strategy, achievable goals, and a deep understanding of their market seem to be more likely to experience successful growth. Before they start operations, it lets them figure out any problems that might come up and change their plan. It’s important to remember that a plan just needs to be sufficient to provide you with direction for what you want to accomplish and how you’re going to get there. You should be able to change your strategy as needed.
