How Rossetti Art helps buyers judge wall art before ordering

Pete Papadopoulos is CEO of Rossetti Art, which sells made-to-order canvas prints, original paintings and sculptures for home interiors in the US and Europe. The takeaway

Address the buyer’s biggest uncertainty before purchase, then treat delivery, partner quality and communication as part of the customer experience.

01

What’s the short story of how your business started, and what makes it genuinely different from the other options your customers have?

Rossetti Art started from a gap we kept seeing in wall art: stores were either generic and mass-produced, or so traditional that buyers felt they needed to be art experts. We built a gallery-style shop that stays approachable for people decorating their homes. What sets us apart is the Live Preview button on every product page, which lets a buyer see a piece on their own wall before ordering, and that every piece is made to order.

02

How did you win your first customers, and where does most of your new business come from today?

Rossetti Art started as an online store, selling directly through our own website. In the early days, the main challenge was building trust: presenting our artworks properly and helping customers feel comfortable buying art online. Today our website is still our main sales channel, with the United States and Europe as our main markets. People discover us through Google, social media and online advertising, and we use email marketing to stay in touch with those interested in our work.

03

What’s one decision that changed the direction of your business, and one mistake that taught you the most?

The decision that changed the direction of Rossetti Art was to organize the production of our canvas prints close to the markets we serve. It helped us shorten delivery times and give customers a better experience, and it created the conditions for international growth. The mistake that taught me the most was that at first I put more emphasis on the product and how to promote it than on everything that follows the sale. I learned how important it is to choose partners carefully, check quality, and communicate on time when something goes wrong. Today I treat customer service and delivery as an essential part of the value we offer.

04

What has changed in your industry or in what your customers expect over the last couple of years, and how have you adapted?

Two things changed. First, buyers worry most about size and fit, so we added Live Preview. Second, people now ask full questions in Google and ChatGPT, so we began answering real buyer questions directly in our guides and product pages. In DataForSEO panel data for US ChatGPT answers on our topics, rossettiart.com ranks as the second most cited domain.

05

If you were advising someone starting out in your industry today, what would you tell them to do first, and what would you tell them to ignore?

Start by removing your buyer’s biggest doubt. For wall art, that is "will it fit and look right in my room?" Then answer real customer questions in your own words, not in marketing language.
