KAVAZS Kavazs on building a professional wear brand

KAVAZS Kavazs is the Founder and Owner of KAVAZS, a clothing brand making minimal professional wear, starting with the CH 01 Core Polo. This conversation looks at the choice to put identity before sales, the challenge of reaching early customers, and why a good product still needs a clear message.

The takeaway

Set your standards and decide what you will not do before chasing sales or trends. A good product is not enough on its own: customers also need to understand what the brand stands for.

01

What’s the short story of how your business started, and what makes it genuinely different from the other options your customers have?

KAVAZS started on April 9, 2026 because I kept seeing the same thing everywhere – big graphics, a new trend every week, clothes that shout the brand name louder than the person wearing them. I wanted the opposite. The person first. KAVAZS is identity first, not selling. That is the whole brand and everything else follows. KAVAZs is built for people who carry a professional standard in their nature, in how they think and behave, not for a jot title or workplace.

02

How did you win your first customers, and where does most of your new business come from today?

I do not have a big first customer story and I will not make up one. KAVAZS is still early and I am building it in the open, through the posts and through Kavazs.co . I am not running after everyone. No pressure, no fake urgency, no discounts to pull people in. I would rather earn one careful buyer who really gets it than then who only came for deal. The right people first. Sales follow that, not the other way around.

03

What’s one decision that changed the direction of your business, and one mistake that taught you the most?

The decision that changed everything was putting identity before sales and starting with one piece done right and learn from it, instead of launching many pieces fat. That kep KAVAZS clear from one day. The mistake that taught me the most was thinking a good product would be found on its own. It is not enough to make something right – people need to see what you stand for, clearly.

04

What has changed in your industry or in what your customers expect over the last couple of years, and how have you adapted?

What I see now is everyone wants everything fast, new, trendy, and brands keep bending to give them that, so in the end every brand looks the same. I did not adapt by bending KAVAZS. If I change every time the market moves, I will lose the exact thing I started. So I stayed slow on purpose. Same class, same quiet style, same small logo. Some people will not wait for that and that is fine. The one who do wait are the ones KAVAZS is for.

05

If you were advising someone starting out in your industry today, what would you tell them to do first, and what would you tell them to ignore?

First decide what you will not do. Most people start with a product and are done. Start with your standard, because that is what will hold you when nothing is working out. In simple langauge. Identity first, not selling. Ignore trends, Ignore copying a brand that is already big. Ignore anyone who tells you to lower your standard, find easy way to grow faster.
