The takeaway

I would tell them to stop relying solely on social media and start building a real digital foundation for their brand. Have a strong website, make sure your branding is consistent, create quality content, understand SEO, and start paying attention to AEO and GEO because the way people discover businesses is changing.

01

What’s the quick origin story of your business, and what makes what you do genuinely different from the other options your customers are looking at?

Vintage Crack is a Harlem born streetwear brand that has always been about expressing culture, individuality, and real street energy through clothing. I’ve been building the brand for years, and what makes Vintage Crack different is that it’s more than just putting a graphic on a shirt, it’s about creating wearable statements that connect with people and represent where they come from and how they see themselves.

A major turning point for me was when I found Designed to Conquer ( www.designedtoconquer.com ). They helped elevate my branding and online presence, and once I had a stronger digital foundation, things started improving from there. It gave Vintage Crack a more professional presence while still allowing me to keep the raw, authentic personality that makes the brand what it is.

02

Where does most of your new business come from today, and where do you wish it came from?

Since working with Designed to Conquer, I’ve seen a shift in how I think about bringing new customers into Vintage Crack. A lot of my business has traditionally come through word of mouth, social media, people seeing the clothing in person, and customers who already know the brand.

Today, I’m focused on expanding beyond the people who already know Vintage Crack. I want more new customers to discover us organically through search, our website, social media, and AI-driven platforms. The goal is to have Vintage Crack show up when someone is actually searching for Harlem streetwear, New York streetwear, graphic streetwear, and the culture behind it.

03

What’s one thing you’ve actually handed over to AI in the last year, and one thing you tried it on and went back to doing the human way?

I’ve used AI for flyers, creative tasks, brainstorming, and helping me move ideas from my head into something visual much faster. It’s been a great tool for getting concepts started and experimenting with different directions.

But I’ve also learned that there are certain things that still need the human touch. When it comes to the final creative direction, the feeling behind a design, the personality of Vintage Crack, and knowing whether something actually feels authentic to the culture, I still want to be involved. AI can help execute an idea, but the vision and the emotion behind the brand still have to come from a person.

04

Have you noticed a change in how customers find you or what they already know before they reach out? Is anyone arriving through AI assistants like ChatGPT yet?

Absolutely. Before working with professionals, the digital world for me was basically “post and hope.” You put something on Instagram or Facebook, put it on the website, and hoped the right people would see it.

Now Designed to Conquer has helped change the way we think about how Vintage Crack gets found. We’re using SEO, AEO, and GEO to make the brand more discoverable not just through traditional Google searches, but through answer engines, AI platforms, and location-based searches.

Customers are becoming more informed before they even contact a business. They’re searching, asking questions, comparing options, and increasingly using AI assistants like ChatGPT to discover brands and businesses. So I want Vintage Crack positioned where those conversations are happening, not just waiting for somebody to stumble across a post.

05

If you were advising someone in your industry on all of this for the next 12 months, what would you tell them to actually do, and what would you tell them to ignore?

I would tell them to stop relying solely on social media and start building a real digital foundation for their brand. Have a strong website, make sure your branding is consistent, create quality content, understand SEO, and start paying attention to AEO and GEO because the way people discover businesses is changing.

I’d also tell them to document their story and their process. People want to know who is behind a brand, where it comes from, and what it represents.

What I would tell them to ignore is the pressure to chase every trend. Don’t change your identity every time something becomes popular online. Build something authentic, make it discoverable, and stay consistent. For me, that’s what Vintage Crack is about—keeping the rawness of the brand while making sure the digital world can actually find it.
