The Interview
Thank you so much for joining us today! Tell us a little bit about yourself. What is your backstory?
Steve Levine : “I spent 20 years in the alarm business before deciding, at midlife, I wanted to do something vastly different and something very sustainable. I had built a successful residential and commercial alarm business, but I felt there was something missing. I was very supportive of the green movement. So, I started AtmosAir Solutions, an indoor air purification technology and monitoring company that makes buildings – offices, schools, hospitals, senior living facilities, hotels, cruise ships and sports facilities – healthier and more sustainable. Every day is a challenge, but I could never go back. It’s been too much fun and so satisfying.”
In what ways has your company worked to reduce its environmental impact, and what results have you seen from these efforts?
Steve Levine : Sustainability is integrated into every aspect of our business and throughout our engagement with customers, partners, and community. We strive to reduce global carbon footprint and improve the air quality of the indoor spaces we serve while minimizing energy usage within the built environment worldwide. Our company growth is driven by the demand of our customers to enhance health and wellness in buildings while aligning with a brand that provides an impact on all occupants. We are committed to expanding our ESG programs to include all of our stakeholders, by providing cleaner and healthier air across a wide range of industries.
What challenges have you faced in implementing sustainable practices, and how have you overcome them?
Steve Levine : Pre-Pandemic building occupants were less educated about the air quality they were breathing inside of a building. The lack of education of the occupant made it more difficult to create a higher demand for improved air quality; the invisible needed to be more visible.
When the pandemic took place, the awareness around indoor air quality accelerated the education of air quality by building occupants, which drove demand of clean green air purification technologies such as AtmosAir’s bi-polar ionization solution. Today, building owners, operators, and occupants are demanding a cleaner and healthier environment where air quality continues to be top of mind amongst many building owners and facility operators today.
