The Interview

Thank you so much for joining us today! Tell us a little bit about yourself. What is your backstory?

Shatara Price : I spent about five years in the beauty industry before I found my niche Corporate America and making a small name for myself the HR world. Since then, I’ve landed myself a pretty dope gig in small private owned mental health agency. I’ve grown into the “go-to” person for pretty much everything. IT, Trainings, Project Management, Employee Relations, etc. You name it I do it. I consider myself the Olivia Pope in my space if you would. So when there’s a need, the first thing they say is “Ask TJ, She knows!”

I’m just a regular, degular, schmegular chick, with an eye for dope vibes!! No long list of credentials, no cute or exciting story to explain how I got here. I’m normal just like you, I just managed to manifest my dreams into reality.

In your opinion, what makes your company stand out? Any examples?

Shatara Price : Consistent brand messaging can make a company stand out. From the visuals to the brand messaging, to how they communicate messages on social media are all ways a company and stay in synch and stand out from its competition.

What are the TOP 5 mistakes people make when starting a new business? Please share advice/examples for all of them.

Shatara Price : As a professional business coach, the thing I see new business owners fail at when starting a business is not properly setting up the foundational principles of the business. These include; a business plan, proper legal formation of the business entity, gaining proper licenses and/or permits, accounting, and tax preparation.

Leaders Perception magaizne would like to thank Shatara Price for the time dedicated to completing this interview and sharing their valuable insights with our readers!
