The takeaway

Make your technicalities squeaky clean so AI can read and recommend you: hand over calculations, configuration and consistency to machines, but keep curation, design judgment and customer relationships firmly human.

01

What’s the quick origin story of your business, and what makes what you do genuinely different from the other options your customers are looking at?

I run two companies with opposite jobs and one belief. I lead the United States operation of Luna Fashion House, a European womenswear house founded in 1990, and I created Visibility Mesh, an end to end system that measures and improves how AI answer engines see and recommend a business. I built my career in cybersecurity and consulting, and it taught me what both companies run on: structure, discipline, and respect for the human element, the listening and the solving of a real problem. I did not create Visibility Mesh as a marketer or a technologist, but as a business operator who merges both, because I went looking for one system that could do the whole job and could not find it, so I built it, field tested it, and operationalized it. Most tools solve one slice, let the AI hallucinate, run shallow analysis, and forget the specifics of the business, all while promising instant results. I built the opposite, on integrity, structure, and a clear statement of what a business stands for, and that clarity is what works. Luna Fashion House is the same belief made physical. We make timeless, functional clothing a woman keeps and wears for years, in many settings, feeling like the best version of herself, not a piece bought for one event and forgotten. Everyone else manufactures demand. We fulfill a need.

02

Where does most of your new business come from today, and where do you wish it came from?

Most of our new business comes from organic search and from press, and we run no paid advertising at all. Textbook marketing is built to play with your psychology, with popups, a discount in exchange for your email, false urgency, and a chase until you give in. We do none of it. No popups, no pressure. You arrive, you bring your coffee, and you choose what actually works for you, in your own time. I will not borrow paid traffic or force a decision. I want the business to come naturally, because we have answers worth finding, and that is in alignment with what we believe, so we are never forceful and never will be. AI is amplifying this. Cumulative traffic from AI is feeding real business growth, and that is where I want more of it, the moment an AI recommends Luna Fashion House because our answer was the clearest, not because we shouted the loudest.

03

What’s one thing you’ve actually handed over to AI in the last year, and one thing you tried it on and went back to doing the human way?

At Luna Fashion House we handed the technical work to AI, the configurations and setup, the calculations, and the metrics, the precise work a machine does faster and more consistently than any person. What stays in human hands is the human element, the curation, the design judgment, and the relationship with the customer. AI can mimic a great deal, but it will never feel and it will never be human. Let it decide what is beautiful, or how a woman should feel walking into a room, and the result is competent and forgettable. I let AI handle the technicalities. I do not let it handle the meaning.

04

Have you noticed a change in how customers find you or what they already know before they reach out? Is anyone arriving through AI assistants like ChatGPT yet?

Yes, and it is measurable, not theoretical. Customers now arrive already knowing our story, because they met it in an AI answer or an article before they reached us, so the conversation starts further along. At Luna Fashion House, agentic business, the business that arrives through AI, is growing about 9% month over month. Overall business is up about 7% month over month from the AI work itself. Engagement is growing about 12% month over month, because visitors stay longer, which tells me we are attracting exactly the audience that cares about what we offer. We measure all of it, and every reading goes straight back into our planning.

05

If you were advising someone in your industry on all of this for the next 12 months, what would you tell them to actually do, and what would you tell them to ignore?

Make your technicalities squeaky clean, because AI rewards a business it can read without confusion. Do not try to play the system, because no shortcut lasts. Use AI for clarity and consistency instead, to say plainly what you offer and let the customer choose. And do not forget we are human. AI will never feel, and every business still runs on trust, relationship, and judgment. Use AI for the busy work. Protect the human part with everything you have. Clarity from the machine, meaning from the people. That is the whole game.
