How elvex is bringing AI assistants into everyday work
Sachin Kamdar is CEO of elvex, which helps companies build and use AI assistants connected to their knowledge, tools and workflows without coding. The conversation looks at what the team has handed to AI, what still needs a human touch, and why Kamdar advises focusing on real data and long-form FAQs instead of marketing hype.
At elvex, AI now helps organize projects and keep work aligned, while important writing remains human. Kamdar’s advice is to build on real data and useful long-form FAQs, not marketing hype.
What’s the quick origin story of your business, and what makes what you do genuinely different from the other options your customers are looking at?
elvex was founded on the belief that teams and businesses would struggle to really adapt AI beyond the power users—and that really nailing collaboration as well as Slack or Figma did for their domains would be the key to solving and delivering on the AI transformation promise.
Where does most of your new business come from today, and where do you wish it came from?
Twitter and word of mouth/referrals. We like both of these channels; we just want even more! Youtube and GEO would also be great.
What’s one thing you’ve actually handed over to AI in the last year, and one thing you tried it on and went back to doing the human way?
Almost all project management organization has been handed off to AI, also, from a developer perspective, AI ensures our in-flight projects are aligned, non-duplicative, moving quickly, don’t break dependencies, & more. For things we still do by hand: important writing.Yes, lots of GEO mentions bringing people to our doorstep.
Have you noticed a change in how customers find you or what they already know before they reach out? Is anyone arriving through AI assistants like ChatGPT yet?
Yes, lots of GEO mentions bringing people to our doorstep.
If you were advising someone in your industry on all of this for the next 12 months, what would you tell them to actually do, and what would you tell them to ignore?
Focus on real data and long form FAQs; ignore "marketing hype".
