The takeaway

A semi-passive business still takes sustained active work: identify what customers value, build quality into the offer, then automate repeatable tasks while keeping human review where it matters.

01

What’s the short story of how your business started, and what makes it genuinely different from the other options your customers have?

i wanted to have passive income from the internet but everyone around told me its impossible. I knew there must be a way. long story short its semi-true – if you work HARD, SMART and on the RIGHT things consistently for years. If you are missing one you cant succeed. I was at my uncle’s and I told them Im tired of studying mechanical engineering and computer science. They showed me job opportunities and I was like nah thats really not for me. there are so many tools today that something else much be possible if i utilise the most of the capabilities of computers. after 3 years of 16 courses per year and average of 80 I left the degree and started working on my business.

Now Im 4 years in and its earning me more than my expenses without too much effort. not enough to really save. But I reached my goal of having a lot of time. We have AI now so it might be possible to earn way more. We had AI 4 years ago too but it was just gpt 3 then 4. Now im using Grok bot and i just have to say WOW. My Original website (yuvaleizikblog.com) reached 176,000 yearly visits and in the new site: yuvalgg.com after a week we reached almost 100 visits to the site half from SEO eventho u r in sandbox for new sites and we wrote 140,000 lines of code for the new website, Crm and another app in this one week.

I realised the possibity of passive income exists. it is simple but hard (if you know the difference) – You need to first make money actively or know how to then automate it with systems that have positive ROI. Thats basically it. If a machine can replace you – in creating content, in answering emails, in outreach, in increasing your website’s stats like Domain Authority, Domain Rating while keeping low spam score then you can sell many things on your site becuase its valuable to get links from you.

For me all those were important because I was in the SEO business.

My customers have to get links from many sources and most of them are websites from resellers that are over saturated and counts as spammy. I gave them a new source and brand opportunity.

02

How did you win your first customers, and where does most of your new business come from today?

I actually tried many things that didnt work. i wanted to do affiliate marketing. i wasted like half a year just on that. in the meantime I increased my website’s stats so people wanted to post articles on my site to get links. Then I saw how valuable it is for businesses and learnt more about the off-page side of seo so I put full focus on that. Right now I have around 10,000 monthly visits to both sites together and its really from everywhere in the world.

Most of my business comes from automated marketing that grok bot does and reseller sheets that have me in their database, and my connections of course.

03

What’s one decision that changed the direction of your business, and one mistake that taught you the most?

When i understood that things arent gonna be 100% passive but 80% at most. I focused on automating the 80% that can be automated. For example focusing on algorithms that choose the best emails to send to customers or leads but everything has to go through my confirmation. Then i can comment on the pitch and the prompt improves itself by my comments. that just one example where I go mostly automated but not fully. The biggest mistake is when u want to succeed too fast so your do things not in the highest quality.

04

What has changed in your industry or in what your customers expect over the last couple of years, and how have you adapted?

Seo was both hard and easy few years ago. It was very hard to create high quality content and research about a topic. But on the other side google wasnt suspicous about AI content becuase it wasnt a thing. I adapted by using AI for the manual repetitive job that people used to hire many people for and add many signs of authority and expertise and knockledge from my own studies and purchases.

For the other aspects I use logic and inginuity to think of better solutions to problems and I guide my business accordingly.

05

If you were advising someone starting out in your industry today, what would you tell them to do first, and what would you tell them to ignore?

at the beginning u need to invest in marketing more than u r earning. then the same. then gradually reduce until marketing is 20% of your income. Marketing is very important for every business. understand that every business consists of 3 parts. marketing, crm and fullfilment. if u find a business where ai can do all 3 for u, u won semi passive income.

Its not completely yet because people pay you only for things that really give them value. If you can automate something quickly they can do it too.
